Preserving the Cruise

This digital edition was created by a Constellation shipmate — to keep the 1994–95 cruise book where the crew can reach it, long after the paper copies fade.

A cruise book is a ship’s yearbook: photographs of the crew by division and department, candid shots from the line and the ports, the route, and the faces of a deployment. They were printed in limited numbers and handed out at the end of the cruise. Thirty years on, copies are scarce and scattered.

This archive scans the book page by page and makes it searchable — by name, division, squadron, and port — so any shipmate can find himself, his shop, or his friends. It is offered freely, in honor of every officer, Sailor, and Marine who made the cruise, and with credit to the cruise book staff who built the original aboard ship in 1995.

If you served aboard Constellation, the USS Constellation (CVA/CV 64) Association keeps the ship’s shipmates connected through reunions and remembrance.
